The Agave weberi, commonly called Weber’s Agave, is a striking, large-scale succulent known for its sweeping rosette of broad, blue-green leaves. Native to Mexico, this agave species combines dramatic form with rugged durability, making it a favorite centerpiece for xeriscapes and desert gardens. Mature plants can reach 4–5 feet tall and spread up to 8–10 feet wide, creating an impressive architectural feature in any landscape. The smooth, curved leaves are edged with small, soft spines, giving the plant a refined, elegant look.

Agave weberi thrives in full sun and well-draining soil, tolerating extreme heat and drought with ease. Though it blooms only once—sending up a towering flower spike with clusters of yellow-green flowers after many years—it produces offsets that continue its lineage. Its combination of size, symmetry, and low-water requirements makes it an exceptional choice for modern, Mediterranean, and desert-inspired garden designs.

Care Instructions

Planting:
