About The Author
Marjorie Kneece is an artist at heart who brings a unique perspective to documenting this beautiful lake. Coming from a family of attorneys, writers, and artists, she was born in Columbia and grew up nearby at the lake. Since childhood, Marjorie has been passionate about graphic arts and design, photography, writing, traveling, and working with computers.
Having spent the majority of her life at this beautiful location, with an additional five years living in Charleston, Marjorie understands both the intimate details and broader appeal of the region’s lake country.
As a University of South Carolina graduate in Information Management, Marjorie has worked successfully in both private and public sectors. She currently resides at her lakefront home and works as a Senior Manager in Information Technology and Program and Project Management.
When away from professional responsibilities, Marjorie pursues her passions: chasing golden hour light, photographing wildlife, boating across familiar waters, writing about discoveries, and creating digital art. She finds greatest joy sitting on her patio overlooking the water with her beloved Boxer dog, camera always within reach.
